Iván Prado

Iván Prado is International Spokesperson for Pallasos en Rebeldía since its foundation, artistic director of several clown and circus companies and director of Festiclown International (Galicia, Madrid, Brazil, Palestine, Colombia). As an actor and clown he has worked in Paris with the company “l’Épée de Bois”, in Madrid with Carlos Olalla and Willy Toledo, in Costa Rica with Patch Adams, in Venezuela with Leo Bassi, in the West Bank with Pepe Viyuela, in Serbia with Txarango, in Belgium with Pablo Muñoz.

He has given lectures and courses in more than 20 countries in four of the five continents, where he has done political performance on the walls and fences of: Melilla, Sahara, Ramallah, Rio de Janeiro and Idomeni.

In 2010 Israel put him in the international media after imprisoning him and expelling him for bringing the circus to children in the Palestinian refugee camps.

He has spent 20 years as an “artivist” directing music, theatre and film festivals, and after an uninterrupted 5-year international tour, at the end of 2018 he will release his first book of poems within the Colibrí Project together with illustrator Iris Serrano.
