Jamkunda is the village of the Baobabs, the roots of the souls that feed the earth with humanity. A space from which to conspire for the common good and join in the construction of a new humanity through music, cultural encounters and participative activism.
The Ataya Social Café, an open cultural space for meeting, learning and sharing with groups from the African diaspora, will kick off the Jamkunda programme, coordinated by Fundación Exodus. This will be followed by dancing, with a crew leading this year’s modern Afro dance sessions, as well as a few sessions of traditional dance – an opportunity to enjoy yourself and let the rhythm carry you away.
As night falls, the JamKunda Stage kicks off a series of live performances – intimate, semi-acoustic sets that offer a glimpse into the music of the African continent. Afterwards, as every year, the area will be transformed into a dance club where visitors can share a vibrant, collective experience through music.
