The musical fusion of the Rototom Sunsplash goes one step further and adds a unique and unprecedented show in the history of the festival: ‘The flamenco world salutes Bob Marley’.
Conceived by the musician Israel Suárez ‘El Piraña’, one of the most renowned cajon players in the world of flamenco, after a trip to Jamaica “that opened the doors for me to get closer to Bob Marley’s music than I could have ever imagined”, the project will unite on the Main Stage to Josemi Carmona, Álex Conde, Alana Sinkey, Noemí Humanes, Josue Ronkío and Juan Carmona Jr, with the special collaboration of Kiki Morente.
The international reggae festival will be the epicentre of this initiatory journey, which sets itself the challenge of “singing Marley’s songs from flamenco and in Marley’s language”. It will be the show’s world premiere on August 22.
All activities are included in the Festival ticket price. It is not possible to purchase tickets for separate events.
