Mad Professor

Neil Fraser AKA Mad Professor first became interested in electronics as a child when he dismantled the family radio. When he moved to London he was captivated by the reggae scene and decided to open his own studio Ariwa – meaning “communication” in Yoruba. The studio attracted both local pop and rock bands and visiting Jamaican reggae legends such as Johnny Clarke and Lee Scratch Perry. This cemented Mad Professor‘s twin callings as a prolific producer of top flight UK reggae and dub – and an avante garde remixer of non reggae artists such as The Beastie Boys and Massive Attack. The Berry Gordy of dub music in Britain – Mad Professor will bring his diverse range of productions from soulful lovers rock to floor shaking versions to the Dub Academy – all mixed live.
