Born in the Ivory Coast and raised in Switzerland, singer and actor KT Gorique represents the multicultural nature of modern music. She was the first Swiss, first female, and youngest artist to win the “End Of The Weak,” freestyle rap contest in 2012. She has since released four albums, culminating in 2020’s Akwaba – meaning “welcome” in her native Ivorian dialect Baoulé. Not content with purely musical success she starred in the 2014 Cannes Film Festival selection “Brooklyn”. Her seamless blend of reggae and hip hop will impress purists on either side of the fence.
