Channel One Sound System, from East London, is a beloved musical institution. Since 1979, Mikey Dread and his brother Jah T have been putting out their bass heavy selections all over the world to adoring audiences. Named after Jamaica’s legendary Channel One studio and label, they began performing at London’s famous Notting Hill Carnival in 1983. In 2010 they made history by being the first roots reggae sound to win the Red Bull Culture Clash.
