Desirée Bela-LobeddeAfro-feminist is an activist and communicator dedicated to aesthetic activism since 2011.
With a blog and a Youtube channel (Negra Flor) that highlight the identity of Afro women, offering content in the form of videos, talks, talks and workshops to care for afro hair and skin. Her intention is to normalize the perception on issues related to personal image.
She is a columnist in publico.es, where he writes articles related to racism, white privilege and even intersectionality within the feminist movement. All of which has led her to participate in events, round tables and debates related to these issues. She also participates as a guest in the discussion program “Més 324“, on Catalan regional television.
Desirée Bela-Lobedde is the author of the book “Ser mujer negra en España” (Plan B, September 2018), which is currently in its fifth edition.
