Mark Dyer, AKA Warrior King, holds the honour of being a favourite reggae artist of former US president Barack Obama. Born in Kingston in 1979, this fiery Rasta singjay was inspired by his hero Bounty Killer and took part in various talent shows, including the famous Tastee Talent contest. Known for his powerful live performances, Warrior King has been selective in terms of his recorded output, releasing just five albums in his 20 year career. His sixth album will be released in 2019 and he will be launching it at Rototom Sunsplash with his Rootz Warriors band.
