Juan Carlos Monedero is Professor of Political Science at the Complutense University of Madrid. He has been a guest lecturer at various universities in Latin America and Europe and a speaker at the United Nations on human rights in New York and Geneva. He was in charge of training at the Miranda International Centre in Venezuela and has advised several governments. His recent works include “La izquierda que asaltó el algoritmo” and “El paciente cero eras tú. Pasajes políticos en tiempos de coronavirus”. His book “Curso urgente de política para gente decente” has had 15 editions in Spain and has been translated and edited in several countries. He is co-founder of the Spanish political party Podemos, although he has never held political office. He has a novel hidden in a drawer.
