Irene Zugasti Hervás is a political scientist and journalist specialising in gender and international relations. She works as a researcher and trainer on issues such as political and sexual violence, gender and armed conflicts, and the prevention of male violence. She collaborates with media outlets such as El Salto, Ctxt and the Washington Post. Although she was a war correspondent, she is currently working in another very different trench: public gender policies in the field of municipal cultural management in Madrid.
