Andreu Escrivà (Valencia, 1983) holds a degree in Environmental Sciences and a PhD in Biodiversity from the University of Valencia. He was a member of the Committee of Experts on Climate Change of the Valencian Community between 2016 and 2017, and has been a member of the Grup d’Expertes i Experts per l’Emergència Climàtica de Barcelona since May 2021. He is a regular contributor to various media and participates regularly in university events, courses and seminars on science and the environment. He is currently working as a project technician on climate change.
In 2016 he won the XXII European Prize for the Popularisation of Science General Study with the book “It’s not too late: keys to understand and stop climate change” (PUV, 2018). In 2020 he published “Y ahora yo qué hago: cómo evitar la culpa climática y pasar a la acción” (Capitán Swing, 2020), in 2023 “Contra la sostenibilidad: por qué el desarrollo sostenible no salvará el mundo (y qué hacer al respecto)”, published by Arpa, and his latest book is “Emergencia Climática” (Malpaso, 2024). It defines itself as a climate heavy.
