The Social Forum 2024, the Rototom Sunsplash’s space for debate and participation par excellence, innovates by making the leap from the Concert venue to the Teatre Municipal de Benicàssim in its 29th edition, under the slogan ‘The Power of Utopia’ .

Thus, the different sessions of the Social Forum will move to the Teatre Municipal de Benicàssim, a space with a special meaning, because it is where we presented ourselves as a festival in our new stage in Spain 14 years ago, and which also celebrates its 30th anniversary as an engine of culture, freedom and knowledge. We return to the Teatre Municipal under our same principles and social themes thanks to the agreement of cession of the space by the City Council of the town and with a challenge: to offer our international public the opportunity to discover the beauty of the city, exploring this cultural space in the urban center, and on the other hand, to bring our philosophy closer to the citizens of Benicàssim.

Culture as an engine of social change, concrete proposals on how to preserve the environment, the importance of having access to independent information, the ethical limits of technology, immigration or realities such as aporophobia, are some of the topics that will give pulse to the slogan “Culture as an engine of social change”. The Power of Utopia in the Social Forum 2024.

The sessions will take place from August 17 to 21, at 5:30 p.m., with free access.
