This year, the solidarity campaign channeled through our reusable cup system has a destination: L’Aurora Support Group of Burriana. The organization has been cooperating for more than three years with NGOs that rescue lives in the Mediterranean, “fighting from land – from the solidarity ports of Burriana, Benicarló, Vinaròs and Sagunt – to save lives at sea”, according to the organization, which has 130 volunteers.
The glass, with a cost of 1.5 €, can be deposited after each use in one of the six containers provided in the enclosure, becoming a direct aid to the work of boat maintenance that develops the organization from the port of Burriana.
L’Aurora will also be present in the non-profit area of the festival, together with other organizations dedicated to the defense of human rights and conflict resolution, such as the Centre Delàs d’Estudis per la Pau, CEAR, Amnesty International, Asamblea Popular València Contra les Guerres and Solidary Wheels-No Borders for Human Rights.
In addition, with the challenge of continuing to transform the food donation system, digitizing it and thus favoring the social integration of people receiving food aid, in this edition ‘United for Peace’ from the festival. we will continue our collaboration with the Food Bank. through the M21 Foundation, whose team will be in charge of publicizing the project among the public and detailing the collaboration channels through the totems installed at the venue. This year, for every 5 € handed in, you can participate in the raffle of two double tickets for Rototom Sunsplash 2024. The initiative will be completed with the collection of non-perishable food in the bars and restaurants of the festival after its closing.
And finally: we bring the essence of the festival to the prison population, with three days of activities in the Castellón I penitentiary center, starting on August 17 with a batucada, and continuing on August 18 and 21.
