From August 16 to 22, we will savor planetary gastronomy in our extensive open-air restaurant, which brings together dishes from the five continents without leaving the Concert venue.
Smoked meat with cylinders of Peru by Vaquero; artisan hot dogs and kebabs and falafel made with great care, from the hand of Salewski Artesanos and Space Kebab By Smoke Mad; 100% corn dishes (El Rincón del Maíz); espetos from Ibiza (Espetos Ibiza); ‘gluten free’ Senegalese cuisine prepared by Abarka; creative crepes and Breton ‘galletes’ (600 Crepes) and more Jamaican gastronomy integrate the novelties of the diverse restaurant of the Rototom Sunsplash, which adds around 40 proposals of catering, pastries and soft drinks.
Once again this year, the traditional artisanal pizzeria of the Elfos and Pizzeria di Filippo, the Berber pastries and gastronomy of Pause Nomade and the creative ice creams of Mamma Luisa will not be missing. Nor the vegan, vegetarian and organic proposals, which this summer bring Eco Loco, Boom Boom or The Veggie Point, along with Street Food Show Thai and its Thai-style vegetarian food.
African cuisine will be well represented with Abarka’s gluten-free Senegalese dishes, joined by Daaraji’s African gastronomic offerings. Both spaces will also offer natural beverages from the continent, such as bissap, baobab and ginger. Daaraji will innovate with the preparation of bissap mojitos.
Jamaican Food and Wayne’s Street One Cooking will do the same with the traditional cuisine of the Caribbean island that gives musical pulse to the Rototom Sunsplash. And more: Q Street Food’s gourmet burger bar; Mcanudos’ Argentinean grill and empanadas; and Flying Shiitake Ninja Food’s Japanese stoves will join this parade of planetary flavors.
With this diverse tasting of flavors and cultures already in full swing, the festival days await other visits, such as those that the public can make each day to the colorful flea market. A labyrinth of narrow streets in which to get lost and where to find a thousand and one unique items, with author’s stamp.
Leather and handmade jewelry, natural soaps and handmade incense, a tattoo studio on wheels and a Rasta hairdresser, along with a tailor-made African tailoring and clothing for any style (Rastafarian, ethnic, clothes with African fabrics, made with natural linen fabrics or Indian fashion) are some of the many proposals of the Rototom flea market.
The Rototom Store, with ethical and organic cotton garments produced under a carbon footprint reduction program, reversible and sustainable hand-sewn bikinis and unisex t-shirts to share closets, also emerges in the heart of the venue. Also available here will be the 1,000-piece puzzle with a map of the site, also in ‘Day Festival’ format, and copies of ‘La Isla del Tesoro‘, a book that portrays, for the first time in Spanish, the history of reggae until 2022 and whose dissemination we wanted to join from Rototom Sunsplash.
