40 culinary proposals nourish the Reggae Festival’s international open-air restaurant. Can you taste it?
We open our venue in Benicàssim (Castellón) once again to the world’s cuisine and bring to the table the interculturality and fusion that is at the heart of our philosophy. Forty gastronomic proposals make up the menu of this year’s edition. Can you taste it?
Over the seven days we have dishes from four continents. Ethiopia, Senegal, Morocco and the Ivory Coast will bring African cuisine to the venue, while from America there will be restaurants representing Peru, Cuba, Jamaica and Argentina. Asian gastronomy will represented by Thailand, Japan and India and Europe will be present with proposals from Italy, Germany, Greece and Spain. All of them outline an interesting journey of experiences and flavours to discover, through the kitchens and stoves, the idiosyncrasies and richness of each country.
Among the this year’s new features it is worth highlighting the traditional cuisine of the Andean peoples of Latin America, such as potatoes with huancaína or corn with melted cheese that will bring Saberes de la Pachamama; the tradition of aperitifs and snacks based on Basque pintxos and homemade vermouth from the El Ultramarinos tavern that is based in the historic seaside neighbourhood of Cabanyal (Valencia), or the tasty sausages from another tavern, this time from Germany.
In addition to this in the open-air restaurant, there are other local offerings: rice with a Mediterranean flavour, salted fish, seafood and fish; tapas and artisan ice creams. Vegan cuisine, vegetarian bio-crepes, healthy pastries and fruit juices from Vegetarian Lover’s, drinks and natural cocktails.
