The search for emerging talent reaches its peak. The competition, organized by the Exodus Foundation, in collaboration with Rototom Sunsplash and SGAE, will reveal this Friday, May 8, the names of the three winners who will perform at the Welcome Party on August 16.
A global phenomenon
The community’s response has been international. The more than 2,600 audited votes confirm that roots music knows no borders, with very high participation from Spain, Argentina, Italy, Mexico, and Colombia, and even support from remote places like New Zealand, Thailand, and Oman.
The criteria: Public and Jury To choose these three spots, a scoring system has been applied that balances audience passion with professional rigor (20% public vote and 80% professional jury). We deeply appreciate the work of our expert committee, composed of: Miguel Camaño (Radio 3/RNE), Iñigo Castro (Txapel Reggae), Eloi Contreras (Nowa Reggae), Bruno Giusti (Rototom Sunsplash), Alex Kurh (Reggae Boa), Xoán Lois Vila (Minho Reggae), Carlos Monty (Journalist), Javier Pulpo (Extremareggae), and José Carlos Ramos (Do the Reggae).
The beginning of something great
The three winners will join the lineup of a Welcome Party that promises to be historic. On August 16, the venue will come alive with programming in practically all its musical areas—from the Dub Academy to the Dancehall—and will feature established artists who will turn the welcome into the perfect start for the 2026 edition.
Stay tuned to our website and social media this Friday to find out the final ranking!
