Yaniss Odua is one of the soloists on the French scene who has become famous in his own country in recent years: originally from Martinique, his music has Latin influences and a black urban repertoire of hip-hop and R & B. He started his career at a very young age in Martinique, recording his first CD in 1992 when he was only thirteen. His career really took off in 2002 with his CD "Yo pan yon" which contains the great hit "La Caraibe". In other works, he has sung duets with reggae greats such as Kymani Marley, Tiken Jah Fakoly or Tippa Irie. His latest CD, "Moment Ideal", was produced by the legendary Clive Hunt in Kingston and features guests such as Richie Spice and Dean Fraser.
