Urban art or street art, jumps from the street into the Social Forum tent. The artist and graphic designer Dase; the image maker Vinz Feel Free; and El Xupet Negre, pioneer of logo art, as well as being an activist on the graffiti scene since the beginning and key player in street art, will give shape to the debate Urban Art. A stake in life, which takes place on, Tuesday, August 16, at 17:00, in the Social Forum.
Since 2006, Dase has been collaborating with some of the most recognizable brands in the world and has implemented numerous creative projects in the United States, United Arab Emirates, Germany, Belgium, Ecuador, France, Italy and Spain. Aid for refugees, respect for animals and gender equality are some of the themes that his works address.
El Xupet Negre (Carlos Redón, Barcelona, 1969) is one of main figures of ‘logo art’ and one of the key players in street art. He has exhibited his work in some of the most renowned galleries both nationally and internationally, with interventions and exhibitions in cities like Paris, Berlin, Milan, Amsterdam, Santiago in Chile, Buenos Aires, Ushuaia, San Juan (Costa Rica), Los Angeles and Miami, among others.
When it comes to the Valencian Vinz Feel Free, his work uses hybrid personalities to narrate stories and present day situations as if they were tales of pure fantasy. New York, Vienna, Amsterdam, London, Los Angeles, Malaysia, Bologna and Miami all bare his work and stand in testimony of his talent.
Furthermore they will also be participating in the initative Art in the Areas, with live creations related to the activities in the different areas and stages at the festival.
