Lorena Freitez, Minister of Urban Agriculture for the government of Nicolás Maduro, and the sociologist Mauricio Phelan, who support the opposition in Venezuela, will share their contrasting views on the Latin American country on August 15
Venezuela, its political, social and economic situation, are often the subject headlines, analysis, comments and debates, all of which often take on a very tense air. On Monday August 15, in the hope of getting to better understand the day to day reality in Venezuela, the Social Forum will host the roundtable debate Venezuela debated (19:00).
We shall do so in the company of Lorena Freitez, Minister of Urban Agriculture for the government of Nicolás Maduro, and the sociologist and UN consultant Mauricio Phelan –one of the intellectuals who supported the Mesa de la Unidad Democrática, (Table of Democratic Union), the coalition that include Henrique Capriles and other groups that oppose Maduro- will attempt a different way of approaching the debate on present day Venezuela. With calm dialogue which will allow us to think of solutions and alternatives, provide new perspectives, and which speaks of the realities of the situation in the country, and of its truths and lies.
