We will be in one of the sessions of the the Social Forum as a part of the Mes del Reggae, a musicultural project that promotes artistic and social initiatives related to music
At the end of the week we will travel to Colombia to participate in one of the activities organised to celebrate the Mes del Reggae (month of reggae), a social inclusion project that aims to promote different social and artistic initiatives linked to the music.
To be precise, this Friday, May 27, we will participate in one of the Social Forums’s sessions, due to be held in the Virgilio Barco library in Bogota that will analyse how to contribute to promoting a culture of peace from different professions, arts and points of view.
Representing Rototom Sunsplash, besides our Director of Communication, Claudio Giust, will be our special guests, Alfredo Molano, sociologist, journalist and writer, as well as the LGBT activist Elizabeth Castillo and the lawyer Marina Gallego Zapata, founder and national coordinator of the Movimiento Ruta Pacífica de las Mujeres (the Womens Peaceful Route Movement).
We have also been participating in el Mes del Reggae since April 30, with other kinds of activities, such as the sreening of films that over recent years have been shown in the Reggae University’s Film Festival and photographic exhibition dedicated to Rototom Sunsplash.
