We put the polishing touches to our 2018 line-up. Our most historic edition incorporates the last seven artists and special shows on the different stages to celebrate our 25th anniversary. From August 16 to 22, we take off in Benicàssim.
Two of the main features of this final wave of confirmations are linked to the exclusive shows that will be given by Alborosie. On August 20 he will share his 25 years of experience together with Shengen Clan on the Main Stage in a special concert and now we can reveal a part of the cast of artists that will join the Italian for the evening. The members of the Wailers JuniorMarvin, Tyrone Downie and Aston Barret Jr. -with whom he has collaborated in his recently released album- will be the special guests of this unique show. Unique, due to its exclusive format, it will be the second scenic incursion of Alborosie for his 25th in our 2018 edition. It will take place on August 21 at the Dub Academy with the Jamaican producer King Jammy, who will also perform a day earlier, on Monday the 20th, at the Dancehall, the night of David Rodigan.
The Main Stage completes its line-up with the Californian reggae fusionists Slightly Stoopid, who have travelled the world for two decades with a mix of eclectic and vibrant influences straddling reggae, rock, blues and punk. With their style, they have had a run of successes in the United States and this summer they will play at the festival for the first time. Their show will be on August 18 and will include the music of their new album, ‘Everyday Life Everyday People’.
Dancehall and the Dub Academy include the last four additions to our 2018 line-up. At the first of the musical platforms comes the Italo-Dutch sound fusion of Northern Lights meets Herbalize It, and direct from India land General Zooz (from Reggae Rajahs) and the dancehall queen Ms. Sheriff. The stage also adds the French group of six dancers Mouv’ment Dancer’z with Blaze Up Sound, responsible for organizing the dance workshops in this edition. Finally, the Dub closes its programme with the locals Gudari Dub.
