The Brazilian collective Movimento Caminhos de Paz comes to the festival for the first time with two interesting proposals for the African Village and Living Energy.
On Tuesday August 18 at 22:00 they will be in Rototom Sunsplash’s most ethnic area with the concert by the band Badenha Foli, formed by four members of the same family who are known for their performances with djembes and dum-dums which they have named ‘vegan drums’. Drums made with alternative skins –that are not of human origin- that produce the traditional sound
Furthermore, the Brazilian collective will give a workshop on Saturday 22 at 17:30 on how to prepare coco in the Living Energy area.
Movimento Caminhos de Paz was created in 2013, and is fruit of another movement that, for over 30 years now, annually unites families form different regions in Brazil to coexist in community. All of them are bonded by principles like culture of peace, education for sustainability, responsible eating habits and the promotion of music and artistic creation.
