The right to be happy is the pivot axis on which this years Foro Social of Rototom Sunsplash will focus on, where this Sunday will open up with a presentation by the Tibetan Lama Thubten Wangchen (17.00 hours). The lama, representant of the Casa del Tíbet in Barcelona, will discuss concepts like hope, culture, peace and freedom and its relationship to happiness, and the need to have a critical and constructive vision of society or decision realization that it is in our hands to make the world a little better.
In tomorrow’s first debate on Sunday morning will be the first of a dozen debates on burning issues of international news as the Free Trade Agreement between the United States and Europe (TTIP), the conflict that is plaguing Ukraine, Islamophobia in Europe or the violation of human rights at Guantanamo. The gendrer violence, the influence of the underground geoengineering climate change, the interests of the pharmaceutical industry to curb the therapeutic use of cannabis or the way we act against wars are other issues to be addressed in this space , hand speakers such as journalist Sami Al-Hajj, imprisoned in Guantanamo for seven years, political scientist and former leader of PodemosJuan Carlos Monedero, lawyer, economist and member of ATTAC France Frédéric Viale or the president of Amnesty International in Spain Alfonso Sánchez.
