The best ska will once again this year be a protagonist at the festival thanks to Carribean Uptempo. A new space inspired by the spirit of the Notting Hill Carnival in London, which will present a special musical cocktail mixing ska, rocksteady, early reggae, calypso, mento, soca and cumbia, together with pure Latin rhythms.
A multicultural fusion of sound, images and colours that will be run by Francesco Nembokid Selecta, founder of San Lorenzo Carnival in Rome –sister event of the mythical London carnival- and artistic director of the historical Sally Brown in Rome.
Also involved in this space will be artistic collaboration of the legendary Toni Face, ‘soul’ of the Liquidator Music, one of the benchmark record labels for ska, rocksteady and reggae the world over. Face has been involved with Rototom Sunsplash since the festival arrived in Spain.
This August discover Carribean Uptempo. Don’t miss out!
