The European tour, Rototom & Friends, which passed through 16 cities in 9 countries, will have a special place this Friday on the Main Stage of the festival. The three key members, the Jamaicans Junior Kelly, Wailing Souls y Randy Valentine, will transform the stage into a big party that will officially conclude the tour. For this show, they will be joined by several other artists that also took part in the event, like the Italian Raphael, the German Jahcoustix, as well as Iriepathie & Fireman Crew from Austria.
The Main Stage will also host Sud Sound System from Italy, this time joined by Bag A Riddim Band. The headlining act will be Beres Hammond out of Jamaica, who this year comes to Rototom with his own group, the Harmony House Band, to go over their extensive musical history.
The Dancehall stage will welcome the Jamaican Bass Odyssey. Founded in 1989 by Keith Walford they have managed to convert their long history into a series of successes in competitions such as the British Cup Clash Soundclash in the years 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2014, as well as the Jamaica World Clash of 2005 and 2012.
As well as Freedom Cry from Spain, this Friday evening, Charly Black will also appear on stage. He started as a selektah for Warlord Int’l sound system from Montego Bay and has turned into one of the regulars on the big stations. Following international recognition for songs like ‘Too Blessed’ and ‘Fiesta’ that opened the doors to Europe and that today are played out at parties worldwide.
