The kitchen of the Rototom Sunsplash is switched on and the aroma is everywhere. Let yourself be guided by your instincts and the attractive smells emanating from the multitude of dishes that portend incredible flavours. The festival welcomes a unique example of the world cuisine that invites all its visitors to a journey of flavours from around the world.
Jamaica, Italy, Cuba, Senegal, Argentina … All of them show their culture in the best way: through their best dishes. It is impossible not to stop at the food stalls in the area, whose aromas and flavours will transport you to their countries of origin.
The offer is wide and varied: rice, meat, sauces from around the world, dishes suitable for celiac and vegan … a whole range of flavours! One of the most popular dishes is the Injera, an Ethiopian recipe consisting of a thin base of bread accompanied with vegetables to be tasted in the most traditional way: with your own fingers and sharing it from the same plate. Because there is nothing better than eating in good company! Another one of the most popular dishes is the Yassa, a delicious chicken flavoured with a spices and rice sauce.
The aroma of this dish is the key to its fame in this festival. Mediterranean food also has its space in this great culinary offer. The Valencian paella is the most demanded one and is already a part of the daily menu of the international public. But there is not only food, traditional drinks are also available, cause there is no better way to enjoy the music and the shows than with a nice Cuban mojito or chill out and relax appreciating the touches of mint tea.
The sweet, salty, spicy and sour flavours come together creating exquisite dishes for everyone, even for the most demanding and daring palates. Venture yourself to discover this exciting journey of flavours!
