Quico Barranco, driving force behind vibrational ecologic cultivation and an important defender of biological seeds, with which he has been working for more than 25 years at the head of the Madre Tierra (Mother Earth) project, will be one of the special guests at Living Energy, where he will give a talk and participate, on August 15 and 16, in the construction of a Hopi Medicine Circle.
The Grand Dome at Living Energy will set the scene for the talk ‘Seeds for change’ (August 16-16:30) in which Barranco will discuss the differences between biological and transgenic seeds, as well as the importance of preserving native seed strains, not only to obtain healthy crops but also as an investment in the future.
Barranco is the visible head of the Madre Tierra project, which works with 70 types of biological certified seeds and where they have developed the technique of vibrational ecologic cultivation. A system that uses artistic designs and harmonic links with the surrounding landscape and that rejects artificial fertilizers and includes the horticulturalist in the life cycle of nature.
Indeed it is one of the elements of this technique, the Medicine Wheel of the Hopi Native Americans from Arizona, that Quico Barranco, recognized by the shamans as Abuelo Hombre-Semilla en el Camino Rojo (Old Seed Man on the Red Path) will show us how to build. A tool to help get back in touch with the Pachamama.
