Back from Backstage – stories of a reggae festival

Documentary available in Italian, English and Spanish. You can change the language in the main menu

Back from Backstage was shot before and during the 14th Rototom Sunsplash festival, attended by the record-breaking number of 150,000 visitors. The idea was to show how, year after year, a group of persons has succeded in creating an outstanding music and cultural event without following the conventional rules of sponsorship and compromise. Independent, ethical management is the tool for doing things well, in every sense. This year our cameras testify who and what is behind the greatest reggae festival in Europe

Featuring: Sud Sound System, Zion Train, Linton Kwesi Johnson, Bunna, David Katz, Carlo Pistacchi, the staff of Radio Base Venezia, the staff of Rototom Sunsplash 2007

Special apperance: Shaggy, Horace Andy, Jah Shaka, Beenie Man, Jah Mason, Gentleman, Africa Unite, Jaka, Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra
