The Lion Stage completes its line-up for the ‘Celebrating Africa’ edition, with a bigger space and a variety of artists like Bombino, Mungo’s Hi Fi and Turbulence.
Rototom Sunsplash has completed the line-up on the Lion Stage. For its 24th edition, the renamed Lion Stage boasts a bigger space and wider variety of top ranking artists, many drawn from the music’s younger generation.
Reggae and dancehall’s international reach is demonstrated by Million Stylez, Nattali Rize, Cali P, Marcus Gad and Lyricson. On the other hand, carrying the flag for Jamaican music as culture creators will be Spanish Town deejay Lutan Fyah, “the Notorious One” Turbulence and Keida.
And the music platform will have plenty of local flavour with Marga Mbande and Emeterians, backed by the Forward Ever Band, while Barcelona’s Alex Bass and fresh sensation Adala will appear with the Same Song Band. The Lion Stage will also host Madrid MC Lasai, and the winners of the 2014 Spanish Reggae Contest Malaka Youth.
The Lion Stage will also host special shows like Reggae Per Xics for the younger audience and emblematic projects like Ethnopia Reggae Ambassadors, designed to spread Ethiopian culture around the world.
In keeping with the Celebrating Africa theme, the Lion Stage will commence with an African performance every day. In addition, there will be three dub shows by three leading digital producers: Panda Dub, Manu Digital and Mungo’s Hi Fi.
