After successfully concluding the first weekend of Rototom Sunsplash 2015 and with Major Lazers revolution about to take off, the biggest reggae festival in Europe continues with the arrival at the Main Stage of the musical project that DJs and producers Diplo (Thomas Wesley Pentz) and Switch (Dave Taylor) founded in 2008, becoming one of the most eclectic, prolific and versatile of the planet, who will appear for the first time this year at Rototom Sunsplash.
The legendary Bunny Wailer will precede them on stage, the last of the founders of the Wailers still alive, also a fundamental part of the history of reggae. He shared the same house and family with Bob Marley in his youth, in addition to founding the Wailers together with Bob and Peter Tosh. After sharing with his colleagues the first part of his career, working with producers such as Coxsone Dodd and Lee Perry, he launched his solo career, making his début in 1976 with the masterpiece “Blackheart Man”.
The classic The Pioneers, an important part of the history of Jamaican music, will complete tonights line-up. His career began in 1962, so he has been present in the various reincarnations of the vocal group, for more than 53 years.
