As part of our commitment to preserve the environment, this year we continue to promote initiatives to reduce the use of plastic containers inside the venue. After the good results obtained during the pilot scheme carried out last year, this year we expand the number of water stations that will allow us to get drinking water, previously filtered, from the general supply for a small price.
With the collaboration of Ecozona Iberian, we will install a total of 47 static tanks in different areas of the festival that will allow us to obtain quality fresh water, both still and sparkling, reusing the resources of the drinking water supply.
The Price of the service will be €0.50 per 35cl glass. However, in the camping you can also get a prepaid card to use the service at a more economic price -1 euro per litre- compared to the €1.45 that it roughly costs to fill three 35cl glasses.
These units called ‘Water Houses’, use an activated carbon microfiltration system and a separating membrane module with salinity regulation that reduces the taste and smell of chlorine without eliminating the minerals that are so beneficial for the human body.
This service will allow users to get quality drinking water at a low cost and reduce both the use of plastic containers and the CO2 emissions, by minimizing the costs of waste removal and transport of disposable bottles. The tanks will be located in the main areas of the venue: backstage, workshop area, security area and campsite.
In addition, we have completely eliminated the use of plastic cups in the bars, replacing them with reusable ones.
Small gestures that contribute to promote environmental awareness.
