Starting today, March 13, and through April 7, we are accepting entries for the contest open to artists and bands from Spain.
The three winning acts will perform on August 16 in Benicàssim, during the welcome day of the festival’s 31st edition.
One more summer: we’re setting sail for Rumbo a Rototom! Aware of the immense talent within the musical universe of reggae, dancehall, ska, dub, and their fusions (electronics, hip-hop, cumbia, or flamenco), we are looking for bands with their own repertoire and a style in line with the artistic direction of Rototom Sunsplash to join the 2026 lineup.
That’s why, through the festival’s Exodus Foundation, we are launching the second edition of the contest for artists and bands residing in Spain who move within this sound ecosystem and have plenty of talent to share.

The three winning acts will perform at the festival on August 16, as part of the Welcome Party that will kick off the 31st edition of Rototom Sunsplash, under the theme ‘The Place to Be’. The organization will cover travel and meal expenses for the selected bands with a financial grant of up to €1,000. Members of each group will also receive seven days of accommodation in the Glamping area of the campsite and a full festival pass.
Registration for Rumbo a Rototom 2026 is open starting today on the contest app. Following the jury’s deliberation, we will publish the final ranking and announce the three winners on May 8.
If you’re interested in participating, remember: the contest is for bands and live sets, you must present your own repertoire (100% original), and you must be a resident of Spain.
