3 August 2015
Last February 6 Bob Marley, the most international Jamaican artist, would have hit 70, such an important date on our calendar that we couldn’t ignore it. On Main Stage there will be three special concerts with one unique objective: pay tribute to the king of reggae and his musical legacy.
On Saturday August 15, festival opening day, the guitarist of the Wailers, Junior Marvin, key contributor to the artistic creation of Marley between 1977 and 1981, will be the first to pay homage to the legend of reggae and his music with his own band, Junior Marvin & His Wailers.
Bunny Wailers concert on Monday 17 will conjure up the immortal hits of the original Wailers, the band that he created together with Bob Marley and Peter Tosh, of which he is the only surviving founding member.
Finally, on Thursday August 20 we will be presented with the show Singing to Marley on Main Stage, with the Spanish artists Mala Rodríguez, Amparo Sánchez, Roberto Sánchez, Sr. Wilson, Payoh SoulRebel and Salda Dagó, accompanied by The Blackstarliners, doing covers of some of king of reggaes most famous hits.
