Born in Liverpool, England, Mark Foggo began his music career in Amsterdam as a member of the ska punk band The Secret Meeting. He then recorded as a solo artist, before forming Mark Foggo and the Skasters in 1987. His music combines uptempo ska rhythms, influenced by the British 2 Tone movement, with humorous lyrics. Last year he recorded latest album Ska Pig Returns, in reference to the Skasters 1989 debut album Ska Pig.
