United Minds has brought to the Rototom Sunsplash the “small amount of” literature translated about the continent and its exodus, as acknowledged by this collective.
United Minds has brought to the Rototom Sunsplash “what little has been translated about Africa and its diaspora”. Books “that make you think”, pointed out from this independent cultural and educational initiative, with is the first to have a library specialized in the continent and its diaspora.
Among the copies presented to the crowd at the African Village, titles such as ‘Decolonize the mind’ by Ngugi wa Thiong’o or ‘The emancipation of women and the African struggle for freedom’ by Thomas Sankara.
‘The black Jacobins’ or the anthropology book ‘Civilization and Barbarism’ by Casa Africa have been other examples presented in this lecture.
