Take a trip with the family through the history of Jamaican music in which apart from dancing and singing, mothers, fathers and children can become DJs. Doesn’t that sound good? Well that is what the Jamaikids project will bring to the Rototom Sunsplash MagicoMundo. A children’s music show through which big and small will board a time machine to travel through the history of Jamaican rhythms, from ska in the 60’s to the most recent dancehall hits, to learn the great musical legacy of this small Caribbean island.
Leading this intitiative will be Molts Records Kids, a record label founded in 2014 by Joan Pedrosa (El Chavo) and Carles Guinart (Check One) that aims to bring urban music (hip hop, reggae and electronic music) to a family audience.
