The Artesano Market collaborates this year with the NGO Edget Baandnet, which works in Ethiopia, and will raffle all collective works made during the workshops
This year, the ArteSano Market collaborates very closely with the NGO Edget Baandnet, which carries out the ‘Live, Love & Learn’ programme in Awassa, Ethiopia.
On the one hand, the organization is in charge of building schools in the African country, in addition to helping provide different primary schools with health centres. On the other hand, it also promotes schooling programmes for children in situations of special vulnerability and manages shelter homes for street children.
This year, the NGO will have a special presence in the festival and, in addition to setting up its own stand in the area of the ArteSano Market, every afternoon they will organize an Ethiopian coffee ceremony from 16.00 hours, as a welcome.
Moreover, all collective works made during the workshops will be raffled on the last day of the festival among all participants. A raffle opened to both the creators of the works, as well as all those who make a small donation to the benefit of the entity.
As an example, a donation of 0.70 euros allows a child to receive three meals a day; with 21 euros 30 children can have three meals a day, while with 70 euros the schooling expenses of a year for one child can be covered.
