The narrator Boniface Ofogo from Cameroon will bring the magic of the continent closer to attendees of the festival through oral narrations that he has compiled from different countries. The importance of oral tradition in African culture is evident through activities like the session of African stories that have been lead by the storyteller Boniface Ofogo.
One activity that festival goers have had the opportunity to get close to is the traditions of Africa, through legends and stories, told in a simple and pleasant way, that have been passed down from mouth to mouth, from one generation to another, in order to keep the tradition, if possible, more alive than ever.
Common elements to all cultures, such as; monsters, magic, music, humour and above all, imagination, have been a common thread among the different tales that Ofogo has compiled throughout his travels to different countries in the continent, to keep youths and adults dreaming, even if they are awake.
