‘Clementina and Arturo’ is the story with which the company Clementinas: Arte y transformación addresses the roles of gender with the kids attending Rototom Susplash
Clementina and Arturo are two turtles who are in love. Both of them like to go finishing together, but Clementina dreams of far-off beaches with bigger fish. One the other hand, Arturo, stops Clementina’s dreams. Forced to stay at home waiting for the fish that Arturo catches, the mind of this turtle never stops dreaming. Every time more quickly. Arturo shuts down her dreams with rules, not options. But Clementina’s mind is much stronger and has just escaped to surf new much bigger beaches; much more free. What will happen when Arturo finds out? How will the story end? And you, what ending would you like to see?
Girls and boys at Rototom Sunsplash will be in charge of deciding how the story ends. They, and only they, have decided how the story of the two turtles that are in love with each other and escape and much more ends. The company Clementinas: Arte y transformación addresses the roles among men, women and couples through micro theatre, stories and puppet shows. The children themselves can reflect on these topics in MagicoMundo. Another theme is how to figure out and manage emotions. Must Clementina lose herself in her dreams and stay at home, obeying the orders of her partner, or should Arturo understand that a couple is a question of both, of two equal people?
